The color blue has always been a popular color that has been used on basketball shoes. Regardless of what shade this color is used in, sneakerheads always seem to love a shoe that drops in blue. And why shouldn't they? Blue, according to color experts, is seen as having the qualities of dependability and commitment. Two attributes that elevate any basketball player's game to another level. So, it only makes sense that if you are rocking a blue pair of kicks on the court, you are as dependable and committed as a basketball player can get.
The new Nike Hyperdunk 2011 shoe is a perfect shoe to show your dependability and commitment. The Varsity Royal/White colorway that has dropped is not only a sharp looking shoe, it is built in accordance with Nike's most innovative performance design standards. Nike Flywire construction is used on the upper of this shoe and conforms to the foot during play to minimize any unnecessary movement. This Flywire also allows for maximum support while providing a lightweight ride. In addition, Nike Phylon cushioning is featured in the midsole for the ultimate in lightweight impact protection. A solid rubber herringbone outsole is used here and creates the highest level of support and traction.
This new blue shoe uses Varsity Royal exclusively on the upper. The tongue, laces, and inner lining also use this strong blue color. The midsole, outsole, and a portion of the heel collar are done in a clean White. This is one nice looking shoe. It is dependable and committed. Oh, and as color experts have also noted, trustworthy.
Since 2008 the Nike Hyperdunk has certainly been a trustworthy and dependable shoe for ballers. Each and every year this shoe has improved its performance and design. The most recent improvement has been employed on the shoe's heel collar. An external heel counter was added to eliminate the feeling of constriction. As a result, the support of the shoe that the upper provides still remains but now also has a more flexible feel in the heel area.
In addition to the aforementioned qualities that blue possesses, this color has also been named the overwhelming "favorite color" among many sneakerheads. If that is the case, this pair of Nike shoes for basketball is going to be a popular shoe in the sneaker community. In the past, this particular shoe has always been quite popular. The Nike Hyperdunk 2011 in Varsity Blue will be no different.

2011-12 Pitt Basketball Preview And Season Outlook
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jack_T_Jones]Jack T Jones
Jamie Dixon and his Pittsburgh basketball team experienced an extremely prosperous regular season in 2010-11. Despite playing a difficult Big East schedule the team ended up with a 15-3 record in conference play, which was good enough to give them first place in the league.
Pittsburgh beat UConn handily in the final regular season game, but lost to the Huskies by two points in the Big East tournament. Pitt didn't have much luck in the NCAA tourney either, getting beat in the second round to Butler by a single point. Ironically, those two teams then went on to meet in the national title game, with the Huskies cutting down the nets as national champions.
The 2011-12 edition of the Pitt Panthers will have only two starters returning. It won't be easy to replace the production of Brad Wanamaker, Gilbert Brown, or Gary McGhee, but coach Dixon has started a winning tradition and the program has a history of reloading when losing top players.
Backcourt
When you talk about Pittsburgh's backcourt play you have to start with Asthon Gibbs. Gibbs thought about entering his name in the NBA draft, but withdrew due to the uncertain labor situation. That proved to be a wise decision due to the owners locking out the players.
Last year he averaged 16.8 points per game on 49% 3-point shooting. If he can somehow improve upon those impressive numbers, his draft stock is only going to climb.
Travon Woodall will try to replace Brandon Wanamaker. Woodall is an excellent defender who is going to have to live up to the hype of being an excellent distributor. Woodall probably won't be the same threat to score that Wanamaker was, but if he can get the ball to his team mates they may be able to make up for the difference in scoring.
Also seeing time will be Cameron Wright, Durand Johnson, and John Johnson.
Frontcourt
Pitt's main losses came from the front court that will be devoid of Gilbert Brown and Gary McGhee. Nevertheless, Pittsburgh does get some stable players returning to go in addition to some exciting recruits.
Nasir Robinson will bring his expertise to the floor and will help bring along the newcomers. Last season he averaged just under 10 points and 4.9 rebounds each contest, but he should get more minutes this season.
Khem Birch was a McDonald's All-American and one of the most-wanted big men coming out of high school. Malcolm Gilber was also needed by a good deal of schools due to his rebounding and shot blocking talent.
Giving the Panthers with some additional minutes might be Dante Taylor, JJ Moore, and Talib Zanna.
Each year we offer our [http://www.collegebasketballfreepicks.com/pitt-basketball-preview/]Pittsburgh basketball predictions so you can get yourself ready to beat the [http://www.collegebasketballfreepicks.com/college-basketball-odds/]college basketball odds on their games.

Another Jordan Hybrid Shoe for Basketball
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Scott_S_Oberholser]Scott S Oberholser
Hybrid. For Jordanheads around the globe this one word will create mixed emotions. Hybrid is defined as an offspring resulting from cross-breeding. In the case of a Jordan Hybrid, one Jordan model "bred" with another Jordan model. With the success of the Jordan 6 Rings and the Jordan Spiz'ike, it appears as if Jordan Brand will continue its quest to release more and more "Hybrid" shoes for basketball. This will come as great news for some Jordanheads. For other Jordanheads this is another sign that the end of the world is near. Regardless of whether you like or dislike these Jordan Hybrids the fact is that these shoes are selling in large amounts. And as long as they are selling, JB will continue to create more of these shoes. The newest Hybrid to hit the market is the Jordan 6-17-23. And the numbers in the shoe's name say it all.
As the name implies, this shoe combines the elements of the Jordan 6 and the Jordan 17. And those of us who are proficient at basic math know that those two numbers, when added to one another, equal 23. Here's another no-brainer. The number on Michael Jordan's jersey was, you guessed it, 23. The upper of the shoe heavily resembles that of the Jordan 6 but includes elements of the Jordan 17. The toebox, lace eyelets, and the "jazz" patten branding on the tongue are taken from the 17. The midsole is actually a fusion of both midsoles of the 6 and 17. Included in the midsole is the translucent design element that has always been associated with the 6. The Jumpman logo is traditionally placed on the back of the heel cup.
Jordan Brand has released four different editions of this shoe so far. Of the four colorways dropped, one of which strongly resembles the epic "Carmine" 6, the most recent colorway features a Black leather and nubuck upper. The legendary Grey cement print used on the Jordan 4 is used on this shoe's midsole and heel pull-tab. The shoe is accented by Air Jordan IV-like Grey cement print on the heel pull-tab and midsole. Grey is also used on the inner lining and lace panel. The outsole uses Red, Black, and the famous translucent rubber.
This new Jordan 6-17-23 is not the first Hybrid shoe to release and it certainly won't be the last. Jordan Brand has had too much success with these shoes. And there will always be Jordanheads who either really love or really hate this shoe. Among all the Jordan shoes for basketball there just seems to be no middle ground when it comes to Jordan Hybrids.

Inexpensive Kobe Bryant Shoes
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Scott_S_Oberholser]Scott S Oberholser
The Nike Zoom Kobe signature sneaker line has seen some nice looking drops in the last three years. There have been several sick colorways that were dropped by way of limited release. This shoes, because of their limited availability, come with a hefty price tag. A pair of Kobe VI "Grinch" or "Orange County" will cost you around $300. On the other hand, there have also been plenty of Kobe editions dropped as general releases. These colorways of the Kobe VI are readily available and can be picked up for a very reasonable $130. However, if you think $130 is not reasonable at all, there are still opportunities for you to pick up one of the best high performance basketball shoes on the market. And there is more than one colorway that you can purchase this shoe in.
The Nike Zoom Kobe VI is perhaps the best low-cut, high performance basketball shoe ever made. Like the Kobe IV and V, the Kobe VI utilizes a below ankle cut to provide for quick cuts and slashing moves on the court. The upper of the shoe features Nike Flywire technology. Three separate layers are used to allow for lightweight support and maximum performance. A reptile pattern is used to cover the Flywire and create a snakeskin textured upper. Nike Zoom Air cushioning is used in the midsole to provide superior impact protection while the molded heel adds additional support. This shoe was truly built with the highest performance specifications that the innovative Nike basketball shoe design team possesses.
And you can own a pair for less that retail price. While we all wait for the Kobe VII to drop there are several online retailers that have plenty of colorways of the Kobe VI that you can purchase for right around $100. And you will have options when it comes to colorways. The Kobe VI "Draft Day", a classic all Black edition, and a Royal Blue beauty are just a few of the colorways you can now cop online for an affordable price.
With the news that the upcoming Kobe signature sneaker will release at three different price points, now is the perfect time to take advantage of affordable Kobe VI's. The Kobe VII will come with some steep price tags. Retail price for the "base" model of the shoe will be $140 while the most expensive model will have a $200 price tag. It's time to grab a pair of Kobe's current shoe, his next shoe is going to cost a fortune. Kobe Bryant shoes for basketball are the best low-cut shoes in the marketplace. Right now, you can own the best and not have to "break the bank" in doing so.

Kobe's Nike Shoes For Basketball
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Scott_S_Oberholser]Scott S Oberholser
Kobe Bryant's signature sneaker line has produced some pretty impressive basketball shoes. It all started with the Kobe IV. That was the shoe that made the low-cut shoe the most popular shoe among the basketball community. Not only was this shoe built with the highest performance standards in the industry, it was released in the most creative colorways a basketball shoe has ever seen. Since that initial Kobe shoe was released, the two editions that followed raised the bar for high performance and color design. The last three years of Kobe shoe drops have allowed sneakerheads to cop some of the most unimaginable sneakers created. Well, folks, it is only going to get better. Or, should I say, better and better and better. That's because the Kobe VII will release in three different models. That means three times as many colorways as the previous three years have seen! Excited yet?
The three different editions of this shoe will be labeled "base", "supreme", and "elite". The price points will be $140,$180, and $200. The base model will include a removable ankle sleeve. This ankle sleeve is attached to the inner sole and also serves as the tongue of the shoe. This unique support system has been labeled "Play Fast." The supreme model uses an upper that provides a shell for a removable midsole and bootie. This removable piece will see the bootie extend above the ankle and has been labeled "Play Strong."
Details on what kind of removable support system that will be used on the elite edition have not been disclosed yet. After seeing the innovative technology that the base and supreme editions will be using,I am guessing some sort of jet powered engineering technology may be used. A miniature jet pack perhaps?
The best low-cut basketball shoe will now see three different new and innovative technologies applied to it's construction. The Kobe signature shoe continues to push the envelope in performance design. As it has been the case from the beginning and continued this year, Kobe is and has been an integral part of the design process. There is no other basketball player who invests as much time and effort into the making of his signature shoe. As a result, the new generation of the low-cut basketball shoe can be traced back to the influence that Kobe Bryant had on the making of his first Nike Zoom signature shoe.
The Kobe VII will continues the evolution of the low-cut basketball shoe. His original Nike shoe for basketball started the process. This shoe will continue that process.

Black Kobe Bryant Shoes For Basketball
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Scott_S_Oberholser]Scott S Oberholser
This is an exciting time to be a sneaker fanatic. Every fall season for the last four years has brought sneakerheads images of a new Kobe Bryant signature sneaker. This year is no different. Actually, this year is much different. That's because we will all be blessed with images of three different versions of the new Kobe shoe. Sweet! That's right, the new Kobe VII will drop this year in three different versions. It will release in the "base" model, a "supreme" edition, and finally an "elite" version. How cool is that?
The base model of the Kobe VII, like the supreme and elite, will again be a low-cut basketball shoe engineered for high performance. It was also created to be the most comfortable and lightweight basketball shoe on the market. A unique snakeskin designed upper again will make up this shoe. However, the most unique feature of this new shoe is a removable insole/ankle sleeve. The insole is actually attached to the ankle sleeve that includes the top portion of the tongue complete with the Kobe logo. This base model uses this unique feature to enhance a "Play Fast" cushioning support system. The midsole includes a Zoom Air window at the heel. The outsole utilizes an XDR traction system. And this is just the base model!
The images of the first colorway that have been released show a predominately Black upper that features a White Swoosh. The laces are Black with Grey speckled accents. Grey is used on the midsole, inner lining and accents on the heel cage counter. The solid rubber outsole is done in White. The design on the shoe's upper is done in a snakeskin appearance but does not resemble the three-dimensional reptile design used on the Kobe VI. Traditionally the first shoe in a Kobe signature line has been dropped in a basic, solid colorway. Apparently, the first shoe in the signature shoe line to drop will be no different.
The "base" Kobe VII will release in January 2012 and carry a $140 price tag. If the past three years are any indication, sneaker enthusiasts can count on a wide variety of colorways and themed designs being used on this shoe. Whether it is the base, supreme, or elite model in which Nike creates their colorway "masterpiece"; you can bet there are going to be plenty of delicious editions to sink your teeth into.
The Kobe VII will be the first pair of Nike shoes for basketball to ever release in three different versions. All this means is more opportunities to cop a pair of the best low-cut basketball shoe on the market. Three times as many opportunities. I can't wait!

Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, and Reebok are dropping some pretty sick kicks right now. If you are like a sneakerhead like me, you truly can't wait for tomorrow when news of a new sneaker drop will be announced.
